Xatamjon Abduraxmonovich Ketmonov, the candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, was born in 1969 in the Baliqchi district of the Andijon region.
Nationality – Uzbek. Education – higher; in 1993, he graduated from the Andijon State Institute of Foreign Languages.
He began his career in 1993 as a teacher at Secondary School No. 28 in the Toshloq district of the Fergana region. From 1995 to 2004, he held the positions of chief specialist, head of a department, and deputy head of the Fergana Regional Public Education Department.
From 2004 to 2013, he served as Deputy Governor (Hokim) of the Andijon region.
During this period, Xatamjon Ketmonov actively participated in the implementation of practical measures to develop public organizations in the region and to create the necessary conditions for increasing their role in solving the socio-economic issues of the region.
With his direct participation, complex measures were implemented in the region aimed at increasing the effectiveness of state and public organizations in fostering a well-rounded younger generation, raising the political and legal awareness of youth, and helping them understand their civic duties.
In 2013, Xatamjon Ketmonov was elected Chairman of the Central Council of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.
Over the past period, he significantly increased the personnel potential of the party at both the central and local levels and implemented comprehensive measures aimed at improving the cooperation between party organizations and party groups in local Councils of People's Deputies in resolving the socio-economic issues concerning the party's electorate.
In 2014, he was elected as a deputy to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Since 2015, he has been serving as Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and head of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan faction.
He is married and has three children.
